Davao City Public Safety and Security Command Center and the Development of an Intelligent Transportation Management System.
Davao City is the third-most populous city in the Philippines, with 1.7M residents, and the largest city in the country by land area. In 2021 they selected Winbourne Consulting to provide technical assistance for the development of an integrated command operations center allowing for enhanced coordination of public safety, 9-1-1, emergency management, and traffic operations agencies. The center will also provide enhanced big data and video analytics and improve the resiliency of the city’s emergency operations.
The center is a linchpin for multiple modernization projects in the city including new rail and bus systems and will provide a foundation for Davao’s Smart City initiative. The project was funded by a grant from the United States Trade and Development Agency with implementation funding coming from the city government budget and other sources.
